This picture has been widely discussed in intellectual circles, who consider it one of the great portraits of the twentieth century. The picture for almost fifty years provoked questions. Where was now the young enigmatic, look deep, troubled and challenging? Was he still alive? The reporter for France-Culture Boujut Michel decided to investigate the fate of this young man. The only clue was the caption of the photo left by Paul Strand. The reporter traveled to Gondeville where to locate her sister. Thus, the identity of the young was revealed, it is Claude Grigalvas, locksmith, five sons and retired. The siege was tightened until the reporter has finally managed to locate it in a modest housing estate near Paris. The sign of the times was expressed on the face of Claude Grigalvas. After winning his resistance, he did not want to be interviewed, he said he clearly remembers this photo in which he was forced to sit by her father, annoyed at losing the fishery. He gets emotional when remembering that moment: "This picture I look at my distress, I was rebellious, I could have been happier, it was not possible."
