I had the luck to be in Belem on 14 August, anniversary of the photoactive . For my generation and many others, Miguel Chikaoka, Paula Sampaio Marques Walda and many were and are a landmark in Brazilian photography and the construction of a social and educational project through photography.

Strides along the path of light. Founded in Bethlehem in 1984 by Miguel Chikaoka, the Association has established itself as a photoactive center of reference for the development of a photographic culture in the Amazon region and one of the most active and creative cultural organizations in Brazil. According to the curators Angela Magellan and Nadja Pilgrim, "is a workshop in constant boiling which aims to research, promote and spread the practice of photography as a language."
