The photography of Brassaï
© Photo by Brassaï. Paris, 1934. Gyula Halàz, known worldwide as Brassaï, born in 1899 in Brasso, Hungary, in Transylvania, then this region joined Romania. Son of a professor of French literature, he began studying Fine Arts in Budapest (1918-1919) and Berlin (1920-1922) and attended the circles formed around a László Moholy-Nagy, Vasily Kandinsky and Oscar Kokoschka. Made her first trip in Paris in 1903-1904, where he settled permanently in 1924. Some of his works portrayed the most popular cafes in the city light. It was a close friend of Picasso, became famous for his images of Paris. In his early career was a modest photographer who became known to the publishing of the nightlife scenes in the work entitled "Paris by Night" in 1933. Brassaï died in 1984.
