Types, archetypes and prototypes that order and sometimes clutter people, cultures and structures, are the pillars for this course looks at the history of photography for this typological perspective, through works of some of its main protagonists, anchored primarily in the images.
Fernando Azevedo is a master of arts in philosophy from City University of New York and a master's in fine arts at Pratt Institute in New York also. Photographer, curator and art critic, currently resides in Brooklyn, NY. He was professor of theory and history of photography at the School of Visual Arts, NY. His most recent work as a photographer will be on display from August MASP in the exhibition "Where the Water meets Earth."
