Here's what he said Chiodetto Eder , who will be with us in Paraty, about the work of Daniel :
"I have reviewed both the crisis of photojournalism in lectures, in my masters in criticism of the newspaper and the blogs of friends that sometimes people get confused and begin to say or think now I'm more like photojournalism, who turned healer and I only interested in artists such descriptions always reducing not help at all! All bullshit. As once said that the most lovely and always need to Thomas Farkas: "the picture is good? can thrill me? leads me to think? so I like! Whether it is the artist of the taxi driver, it was on the Biennale or the baker's portfolio. " Thomas Viva!
This series on the drought in RS shows a photographer exercising with your knowledge and pleasure craft. And look he is a photojournalist, huh? (Rs) Marenco shows complete mastery of light and composition, which already gives away to work a very different status. Notice that the test maintains a temperature heated because of the unenviable light of the Pampas, and conceptually how this becomes a powerful tool to talk about the central theme: the drought. Field of light and composition, with the chops to play a test and make it a cohesive narrative, is something that amateurs do not. Photographers turn out in fact only a test, never in single photos. Marenco works very well the notion of closeness and distance of the characters and scenarios, mixing well intimacy and contemplation in full measure. Vary the angle taken in large, which tends to epic, with the detail in macro, which helps to humanize, gives a good pace to the test and the distance of a vision that could easily slip into something more or sensaciolanista spectacularized. Many of the pictures seem to have a post-production processing. What some would say more vigilant that leads to having an aesthetic one as well as advertising. Another bullshit! Tool is to be used. Language is to be written. And common sense, and not foolish prejudices, should guide the relentless and obsessive pursuit of authorial writing. Report is to say what you saw. But what you heard, felt, smelled, talked ... and the image is magnetized such other directions, all worth it. Truth is for anyone who has to show! Marenco was sent out and see. There is still working the issue. Dry, cut the fat, get in the synthesis. Express more and talk less. Always!
hugs,
Eder Chiodetto. "

Wow, very cool to see me quoted here.
I was coquettish, not with the kid's praise Eder and Co.
Thank you.
Hugs!
Daniel Marenco.
I return to again comment and maybe this way, show my gratitude for the work cited. Only now, I speak a little about it.
Cover a topic as the drought that hit the RS has its advantages and disadvantages. The good part is that it yields very alone. And here, I confess, it was great to read a more professional about what they produce. When making much of these things do not go through the head. Another advantage is the ability to photograph the subject for several days. With different characters, but always on the drought, their problems and how people dealt with it. The bad part is also connected to the fact that the theme is repeated for some time. The evaluation of the paper is that the theme, even though there during the day, it will wane, then, what I produce on it, you lose together. At this time it's not cool not to see the photos published and receive this justficativa. But I think the rule of the game, unfortunately. To overcome the frustration a bit, I use the blog, use flickr.
And yet - walk through lazy - make a multimedia stuff I have on video and audio. That yes, I think was the one who suffered most in the day's edition.
How neat and Eder Cia. Marenco's you, tell much the same. Congratulations! Big hug.
