"Habaneras" Maurizio Longobardi

The exhibition "Habaneras" Maurizio Longobardi songs features women in Havana in twelve beautiful black and white prints.

"Habaneras" is part of a work in progress that aims to document women involved with music throughout the world.

"As the island has been extensively photographed, the intention was to portray Cuba fleeing the stereotype of old cars and Hemingway." Maurizio spent ten days on the island, chose the location carefully and girls was found following statement after statement. The project also travel to Iran, Gaza, and Mongolia. "Habaneras" will be displayed in Salvador and Rio de Janeiro, with dates to be confirmed.

    What a lovely light! I really enjoyed seeing a bit of Cuba for this point of view and I was curious since the progress of the trial in other countries ... I always thought that music and photography has tuned chords .... some images are also a kind of melody and the music is a source of images (at least for me) with volumes, shapes, depth .... I think Maurizio can tune these two languages ​​and develop a great job. Good luck!
