Collection of unpublished photos of Princess Isabel make up work "Princess Isabel Collection: Nineteenth Century Photography", Bia and Pedro Corrêa Lake (Capybara Publisher).
On Tuesday, the day (29/09) in São Paulo, the Brazilian Book Chamber (CBL) announced the winners of the 51st edition of the Tortoise. First place in each category will receive $ 3000. In the category "Architecture and Urban Design, Photography, Arts and Communication" won the book "Princess Isabel Collection: Nineteenth Century Photography", Bia and Pedro Corrêa do Lago (Capybara Publisher). This book reveals the existence of the photo collection formed by the Brazilian Princess Isabel and preserved by his descendants in Europe. This set of over a thousand images presented in this work is the first time since its formation it remained accessible only to some members of the Imperial Family. Princess Elizabeth with the collection reappear hundreds of sights unknown to the north and south of the country and also illustrates the evolution of photographic portrait in Brazil. The work of the great artists photographer is enriched, or even revealed, and the Collection offers the prospect of a new Brazilian history in the nineteenth century.
