The photographer Flávio Damm celebrates 64 years of career

The Cultural Centre Post Office in Rio, opens on Thursday, 24/09, the exhibition "The Eye Ready", a photographer based in Rio Grande do Sul Rio Flávio Damm, celebrating 64 years of career. Flavio began as assistant to German photographer Ed Keffel and became known to make the first pictures of Vargas on his farm after his retirement from the presidency. This was done photojournalistic that led to his being hired by Cruise, where he worked for 15 years. Follower of an aesthetic similar to that of photographers such as Manuel Alvarez Bravo Mexican, Hungarian Andre Kertesz, Robert Doisneau French, the American Eugene Smith and the Brazilian José Medeiros de Andrade and Alécio. Flavio Damm, which produced 60 000 negative along the trajectory, selected 64 photos to show blocks divided by "I see Lisbon", "Lines" and "I want you to Pigeons." Post Cultural Center.
