The dramatic photograph of a wounded soldier asking the protection of a priest during the civic-military uprising in Venezuela in 1962, authored by photographer Hector Rondon and published in Life magazine, won the Pulitzer Prize that year. The photo ran the world and became a symbol against the violence of the sixties.
