Today begins the collection of the exhibition Maison Européenne de la Photographie

Itaú Cultural in São Paulo presents from today, 14/10, shows photo and video works from the collection of the Maison Européenne de la Photographie. "The Invention of the World" is an exhibition of photographs and video with 30 contemporary artists with their works that challenge the boundary between reality and fiction in recent decades could increase the repertoire of representation by means of imaging techniques, suggesting an investigation into the world of dreams, desires, and the traumas of human subjectivity. The sample comprises artists as Joan Fontcuberta, Joel-Peter Witkin, Orlan, Duane Michals, Sarah Moon, Christian Boltanski, Valerie Belin, Pierre and Gilles, Bernard Faucon, Martial Cherrier, among others. In parallel the Trustees have created a cycle of debates and lectures with free access to the public, with names of great relevance on the world stage in art and thinking about contemporary photography.
