During a purse-residence in Paris in 2006, Pizarro began working again with paraffin, exploring the landscapes around them. Hence, the first two works, the gargoyles of Notre Dame, which he associates with the frowns of the Rio San Francisco. Back in Rio, remained one year, when it decides to move to Sao Paulo. "But my reference is the River," he says. A survey of the Parisian landscape migrates to the relief of Rio. Pizarro appropriates images of Rio's favelas, the Internet and made available for tourists visiting the city. It recreates in paraffin, Rio relief as icons Corcovado and Sugar Loaf, and it prints photos. The result refers to the skyline, filled with slums. "They are overlapping fragments, short stories," explains the artist. Born in Rio in 1958, Luiz Pizarro was revealed on the show "How are you, Generation 80?" Held at the School of Visual Arts of Parque Lage in 1984. Participated in the 1985 and 1991 International Biennial of Sao Paulo, and several exhibitions in Brazil and Germany, where he lived from 1992 to 1998.
