Charis Wilson dies, the muse of photographer Edward Weston

Charis Wilson, lover, muse, model and wife of the American photographer Edward Weston, the protagonist of the famous photograph entitled "Nude," died on Friday in Santa Cruz, California, at age 95. His death was confirmed by her daughter, Rachel Fern Harris. In January 1934, Charis Wilson, an intellectual adventure of just 19 she met Weston, who was then 40 years. It was love at first sight, and she began to model for him shortly after. They lived together four years until he married in 1938. They divorced amicably in 1946 and the friendship lasted until the death of Weston in 1958. In 1977, she produced a book of photographs entitled "Edward Weston Nudes".
