Museu Afro Brazil presents the winning photos of the campaign "We in Africa"
© Photo Jesuane Salvador. The Ministry of Culture has the Museu Afro Brazil in Sao Paulo, the exhibition "Africa in Us." The show features the 101 winning images of the eponymous photographic campaign, promoted from June to September this year. The enlargements of the photos that depict the African influence in Brazilian daily life, were placed in the windows of the museum, in the Ibirapuera Park. The event also marks the launch of a catalog of selected images, which were divided into eight categories, being: Body, Everyday, Festivities, Food, Contrasts, Landscape, Religion and Portraits. The coordination of the campaign received more than seven thousand photographs, and the one hundred best images were chosen by a jury, curated by photographer Walter Firmo.
