29 years ago John Lennon was murdered
Photo © Tom Hanley. John Lennon's childhood. On December 8, 1980 John Lennon was murdered, shot down by a fanatic. The killer remained in place with a book in his hands titled "The Catcher in the Rye" by JD Salinger. John died after losing about 80% of their blood, at forty years old. The killer was Mark David Chapman, a Beatles fan and John, who ended up hitting John Lennon to death with a .38-caliber revolver.
