RPCFB in a meeting at the Ministry of Culture

It happened yesterday (07.12), the Ministry of Culture, in Brasilia, the first meeting between Network Produt0res Cultural Photography of Brazil (RPCFB) and Joey Ferreira , Minister of Culture.

At the time, was given the Letter of Paraty, which formalizes the creation of RPCFB. The objective of this first encounter with the MinC was requesting support, establish communication channels between the class photo and the public and private sectors and also create a list of actions and policies for the promotion of photography in Brazil.

The RPCFB presented at the meeting, suggestions for actions to be developed in conjunction with MinC and Funarte. Among them, support was requested to conduct a comprehensive survey on national initiatives in the field of photography. The products of this research are to create a website and conducting a meeting, and an assembly of RPCFB on February 24, 2010.

Since Ricardo Resende, Funarte discussed continuity announcements to encourage photographic production and suggested a bid for funding for meetings, festivals and similar initiatives.

The members of RPCFB who were present agreed to submit a detailed plan of work, within the next ten days. It marked a second network meeting with Funarte for the day January 5, 2010.

About the Producers Network Cultural Photography of Brazil
The RPCFB was created in the 1st Meeting of Agitators Cultural Photography, held on schedule in Paraty in Focus this year. The initiative arose from the need to create a communication channel, to consolidate an institutional relationship between all sectors. The RPCFB want to contribute to a better understanding of issues relating to photography and set an effective program of support for the photography in this country.
