Gallery in London exhibits the work of photojournalist Nat Finkelstein

The Idea Generation Gallery in London will be showing up on February 14, 2010, the exhibition entitled "From One Extreme to the Other" by Nat Finkelstein (1933-2009), who was one of the most respected photojournalists of his generation. Nat has marked his work with an iconic and intimate documentation made in the studio "Factory" Andy Warhol. Finkelstein captured images of personalities who frequented the studio, including Salvador Dali, Allen Ginsberg, Bob Dylan, Marcel Duchamp, Edie Sedgwick, Nico, Lou Reed, among many others. Nat covered vehemently protests for civil rights and anti-war in the mid 60s in the U.S.. Later because of his political activism, including an alliance with the "Black Panthers", led to a forced exile abroad for 15 years. Portrayed the various cultures of New York between the years 80 and 90. Finkelstein exhibited his works worldwide in more than seventy-five solo exhibitions and group en museums and galleries such as the Cedar Bar, the International Center of Photography, Whitney Museum of American Art of New York, The Andy Warhol Museum Pittsburgh, Tate Modern, Victoria and Albert Museum, The Photographer's Gallery, the Saatchi Gallery of London, and the Ludwig Museum, among many others.
