Felice Quinto dies at age 80

He died Felice Quinto, a renowned celebrity photographer, who was the inspiration for Paparazzo's role in the film "La Dolce Vita" (1960), Federico Fellini. He was 80. The photographer died of pneumonia on January 16. Only last Monday his death was announced by his wife Geraldine Fifth. He pioneered the use of some of the aggressive tactics of celebrity photographers use to achieve their goals. He hid in the bushes, wearing disguises and a motorcycle, taking pictures that appeared in gossip publications around the world. Quinto was born in Milan in 1929 and became a friend of Fellini while living in Rome in 1950. In 1960, Quinto did a photo shoot of actress Anita Ekberg - who appeared in La Dolce Vita, kissing a married movie producer, in a cafe near Rome. The actress who was barefoot and holding a bow and arrow, left for the confrontation.
