Space f/508 has a varied collection of books and photography magazines for consultation by students. Last week, two new publications have joined our library: Guide and academic journal Fotolibras photo Photo Graphy.

The guide presents the results and impacts of the project Fotolibras, created in 2007 in Recife, as well as reflecting on methodologies, pedagogical activities and tips for preparation and implementation of participatory photography projects with deaf people.

For the design of the book, Fotolibras, only the first year of operation has enabled 25 young deaf people in the area of ​​participatory photography, won the sponsorship of Petrobras Cultural Program. One hundred copies were distributed free to organizations and groups working with communication and photography. The online version of the guide can be seen on the site of the project.

The magazine Photo Graphy is a result of the projects of the first class of postgraduate course in photography at the University of Vale do Itajai (Univali), located in Camboriú (SC).

The photographic essays explore geometric shapes, human silhouettes, in black and white landscape, architecture, everyday life and culture circus of fishing communities. Both the photographs and articles in evidence is the concern of the magazine with photography as art.

Quarterly basis, the aims Photo Graphy knowledge exchange between Brazilian courses in photography, making room for collaboration, whether for publication or copyright photographic works of scientific articles. More information about the magazine here .
