During the month of March, the photographer Roberto Gaucho Prym-Schmitt will present, in Rio de Janeiro and Porto Alegre, an exhibition entitled Scenarios of Memory, curated by Renato Rosa and texts of the writers Charles Kiefer, Luiz Antonio de Assis Brazil and Fabricio Carpinejar. The series is made from analog and digital photographs, some recent and older, which are overlapped and displaced. Each final image comprises 40-50 transparent bonding in detail. Roberto Schmitt-Prym became interested in photography in the late 1980s. Held his first solo exhibition at the Art Museum of Rio Grande do Sul in Porto Alegre.

"Given the great art, we can not maintain passivity. Something in us moves. And in many directions, as the shutter-Schmitt Prym "says author Charles Kiefer in his text about the exhibition. "Maybe everything I've written is jealous of the book. Perhaps what Roberto Schmitt-Prym make it out of jealousy of photography. Collages are investigating the texture and look, reworking details and imposed movements, incorporating the digital landscape as if the finger spins with the grandeur of an iris. Churches, museums, public buildings, there is an interference with witnesses, color, which makes the picture an apparition, a ghostly figure for attention, "so wrote Fabricio Carpinejar.

The writer Luiz Antonio de Assis Brazil wrote in his text: "to see the work of Robert Schmitt-Prym, need more than the look: we need first of all, silence, slowly and calmly. We must, then, a sense of recollection. " See more photos here .
