Irina Ionesco, one of the great ladies of the photo world exhibited in Sao Paulo

The French Irina Ionesco, one of the great ladies of the photo world, displays the works for the first time in Sao Paulo from this Saturday 06/03. Irina Ionesco's work, little-known photographer in Brazil, will visit Sao Paulo, Brasilia and Salvador in the exhibition entitled "Mirror of Light and Shadow." In the city, the artist's works can be seen until April 11, the Gallery of the Caixa Cultural Michelon in Cathedral Square in the city center. This exhibition will present 30 photos signed from 1968 to 2006, black and white analog, without any interference from digital technologies. During the exhibition, the documentary will be shown Irina Ionesco, Nocturnes Porte Dorée (1998-2003, 58 ') Delphine Camolli, which proposes the discovery of his baroque universe based on interviews, footage of the photographer in action with the Isis model, presentation some of their series, as the Lovers and the Funeral pictures of Baby Jane, inspired by the movie What ever Happened to Baby Jane. The film also reveals that his creation is the area of the apartment where he lives. Irina Ionesco, a Romanian, was born in Paris in 1935. Teenager, he began a career-woman show, snake charming, acrobatic dancer and contortionist, live target of a knife thrower. After an accident that prevented him to continue dancing, began to draw blanks. In 1964, Nikon won a machine painter Corneille. In 1970 he made his first personal exhibition in photography, developing one of the most unusual and unique works of contemporary art galleries present in European, Japanese, American and museums around the world.
