Results were announced two important awards of photography: Hasselblad Award 2010 and Foam Paul Huf Award 2010. The 30th edition of the prestigious Hasselblad gave the French artist Sophie Calle the first place and, consequently, the amount of 100,000 euros, plus a certificate and a gold medal. The award ceremony will take place on October 30th at the Theatre of Gothenburg.
Sophie Calle competed for the prize with the work Prenez Soin de Vous (Take Care of You), which was exposed in Sao Paulo, Salvador and Rio de Janeiro in the second half of 2009. Take Care of You was inspired by a breakup letter of the artist received in 2005. The first gives Sophie Calle the right to present a solo exhibition at the Hasselblad Center in Gothenburg, Sweden this year.
