Mocarzel completed courses in Film and Journalism in 1982 at the Fluminense Federal University in Rio de Janeiro. Early in his career, he worked in newspapers such as The State of S. Paul, for 13 years, and Fluminense, in Niterói, where he signed a film daily column for eight years. In 1999, after making the production of commercials and TV shows, made his first short film Portraits in the Park.
Arthur Omar is a miner has embarked on the most diverse fields of art. Born in 1948 in the city of Caldas Wells, Omar works as a documentary, filmmaker, photographer, designer, poet and develops reflections on the process of creating the image.
The training in anthropology and ethnography exerted great influence on his films of the 70s as well as in books written recently about the carnival and the Amazon. Since 1973, Omar records in snapshots carnival revelers from various Brazilian states.
