Never in the history of Brazilian photography, an immense group of cultural producers, photographers in essence, able to meet so pleasant and productive, as happened in the First Meeting of the Network of Cultural Producers of Photography in Brazil, which began on Thursday (27), in Brasilia. After two days of discussions among the participants divided into working groups, was defined as the main purpose of NETWORK promote exchanges between the various affiliated initiatives, as well as promote discussion of public policy for photography in Brazil and obtain representation in the power public.

The meeting brought together representatives from 17 states, 23 of the Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo 21, 16 of the Federal District 7, Pernambuco, seven of Rio Grande do Norte, Bahia six, five of Rio Grande do Sul, 5 Ceará, Minas Gerais 5, 4 of Para 3 of Parana, Santa Catarina 3, 2, Goias, two of Paraiba, one of the Amazon, one of Maranhão and Mato Grosso 1.

In the 3-day meeting, 149 representatives of cultural initiatives related to photography discussed in nine Working Groups, two conferences and a first closing plenary, held on Sunday, attended by the Minister of Culture Juca Ferreira, subjects ranging from Public Policies to the Socio-Cultural Project, through broadcast media, format Network, Copyright and Image, Photo of Economics, School of Photography, International Relations, Memory Production Contemporary Models of network management, meetings and festivals. Some guidelines have been inconclusive, but more important was the consolidation of ASPnet in itself, and the strengthening of partnership with the Ministry of Culture.
