In another important partnership between Cosac Naify and MoMA - Museum of Modern Art in New York, "the book Henri Cartier-Bresson: The Modern Century" promises to revolutionize what is already known about the life and work of one of the greatest photographers twentieth century. Organized by Peter Galassi, chief curator of photography at the museum, is the first publication made with unrestricted access to the collection and the archives of Henri Cartier-Bresson Foundation in Paris. With over 450 illustrations, brings together both consecrated images as some unpublished up to the experts, mined thousands of documents from the artist. In his essay, Galassi presents a new interpretation of the scope of work of the photographer, since their innovations surrealists of the early 1930s to its role as one of the leading photojournalists of the story. The "Landmarks", almost a book in itself, brings the maps with the routes of the incessant travel Cartier-Bresson for more than forty years, and a bibliography of his publications in the press, filmography and chronology of the major photographic exhibitions and books.
