Alexandre Belém is a journalist and photographer. Creator and editor of the blog Olhavê, co-author and editor of the Outlook site About Images blog (hosted on the journal website SEE). Photo Editor of the magazine's website SEE between 2010 and 2011. He was a member of the nominating committee of the World Press Photo Contest Multimedia 2011. In 2010 and 2012, was part of the judging committee of the Conrado Wessel Award. In 2012, he won the Journalism Award in the category April Music / Blogs blog About the Images. Curator of exhibitions Olharesdefora (Odd Gallery, New York, 2011) and Libya Hurra (individual photojournalist Mauricio Lima Photography Festival in Tiradentes, 2012). Graduated in Economics, Claudio Edinger almost came to blows with his father when, in 1974, announced that it would be a photographer. Moved to New York in 1976 and only returned to Brazil after 20 years. He is the author of 14 books and a photographic novel, A Swami in Rio, published in 2009. He received numerous international awards, including the Leica Award (twice), Hasselblad Award, Award Higashikawa, Ernst Haas Award, JP Morgan Prize, Pictures of The Year Award, April Prize, Special Prize of Life Magazine as a finalist for the W. Eugene Smith Award, in Brazil, has twice received the Award Porto Seguro. Your photos are in the collections of MASP, MIS, MAM, MAC, Pinacoteca, Metropolitan Museum of Curitiba, Metronòn (Barcelona), Higashikawa (Japan), AT & T Photo Collection, Equity International Photo Collection, Brazil Golden Art Fund, Itaú Cultural and Center Cultural Banco do Brazil, their work also includes the largest private collections of photography in Brazil.
Cristiano Mascaro is a graduate of FAU-USP and began his career as a photojournalist Veja magazine, where he held numerous reports in Brazil and abroad. He was professor of photojournalism The focus in the School of Photography and Visual Communication at the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of Santos. Between 1974 and 1988, he directed the Laboratory of Audio Visual FAU-USP.
In 1986 obtained a master's degree from USP and in 1990 he was assigned to Bolsa Vitae Arts. It has held several exhibitions in Brazil and abroad and has published in the press and in book form. In April 1992 he received the Award for Photojournalism in the essay The Brazilian way of life and living, in 1995, with the test room of miracles, and in 2011, with 25 test persons and things that helped build the story of St. Paul. In 1995 obtained his PhD from USP, with top marks and words of praise, presenting the thesis The photography and architecture. Participates in 2006, honored as the architect of the VI International Biennial of Architecture and Design, a photography exhibition featuring Brazil in X, Y, Z, in 2007 received the Special Prize of Photography Porto Seguro by all of his work.
His photographs are part of private collections of several museums and cultural institutions.

The Sao Paulo Eduardo Muylaert, 67, is a criminal lawyer, photographer, and enjoys writing. He studied in Paris, was a professor at PUC, State Attorney, Secretary of Justice and Security, and then Judge of the TRE. As a photographer published The spirit of places (published by Third Name, 2003), and Good night Paulicéia! (Pinacoteca, 2006). He participated in several international exhibitions and has works in the collection of the Museum and Art Gallery. His last exhibition in 2011 was Women of the Other, the Wildlife Gallery.
Juan Esteves has pictures published in several countries, including Brazil, USA, Denmark, Germany, Holland, England, Italy, Spain, France and Japan, where he also exhibited in over 150 shows, between individual and collective. He collaborates with text and photos for magazines such as Shoot Better, Living Alone and Select. He wrote and photographed for Folha de S. Paulo, where he also served as photo editor, columnist of the magazine was Iris Photo and Fotosite Magazine, contributor to publications and Itau Cultural Funarte and www.fotosite.com.br site editor. He has authored four books and collaborates with copyright text and photos to international publishers as Cosac and Naify, Rizzoli, Autrement Editions and Penguin Books, with images in over 200 publications. His photographs are in collections of MASP, MAM, MACC, FAAP MAB, the State Art Gallery, Itau Cultural, Musée d'Elisee, Lausanne, among other museums and foundations.
The Argentine Marcos Lopez spent the 1980s is dedicated to classic image in black and white, especially that found in the tradition of the great portraits produced in Argentina, which prepared him for greater boldness in the following decade, when he began working a color photograph, the archetypes of popular Buenos Aires, why many of their series. Like other photographers, Lopez is the reality for only a basis for their tours imagery, chronic socio-political, that it produces, based on their impressions coming from the theater, cinema and painting. Born in 1958 in the small Santa Fe, says the photographer seeking the universalisation of the emotional texture of his memories, memories of childhood that merges with what we understand as "local color": an Argentine kitch, pop and exaggerated, recorded in a documentarism peculiar, so also a society.
The Englishman Martin Parr is a character. He has the stereotypical photographer is discreet, devoted to books and copyright as if it were a librarian at Oxford College, is a compulsive collector with everything that relates to photography. The Dutchman Michiel Munneke is since 1995 in the World Press Photo organization that manages the most important award in the international photojournalism, and where he began his career as Project Director for Exhibitions. Graduated in Communication from the University of Amsterdam, already in 1997 became director of the Professional and Educational Projects and began to organize the prestigious Joop Swart Masterclass, a program to encourage young photographers. Since 2001, is the Director General of the entity. The World Press Photo is a non-profit foundation, established in 1955 in the Netherlands with the aim of promoting photojournalism and documentary photography from around the world. Among the activities of the entity is an annual contest, exhibitions, the stimulation of photojournalism through educational programs and a wide dissemination for press photography in various publications. Receives sponsorship from Dutch Postcode Lottery (a Dutch national lottery) and the Canon company.
What we take as a normal street scene appears in the images of the Danish Peter Funch as a simulacrum of reality, one thought that documentaries surprise, not only the accuracy that they provide, but by manipulating them, thanks to the tenacity of its author, who to compose your photos takes weeks going to the same place, their communities by creating artificial time lags, which in addition to a beautiful image, producing a questioning of the society in which we live. Born in a small town in Denmark in 1974, Funch lives in New York for seven years, where he chose a location to set your scene, places with lots of people with different characters and peculiar aesthetic. In his documentaries imagined, are fragments of reality, history, local landmarks and much mystery, all questioning how a photo may or may not be true.
Chilean designer Rodrigo Gómez Rovira is the agency's IMA (Picture Memory Author), whose documentary work is fundamental to the understanding of Latin American imagery. His images are distributed by the French agency devoted VU, reaching a large range with works that represent from the ends of South America - as their photographs on the Patagonia - to their political concerns, stemming from his exile in France, forced by the Pinochet dictatorship in the early 1970s.
Rovira was born in Santiago de Chile in 1968 and now lives in Valparaiso. He graduated in Psychology from the University of Paris X, splitting its operations between a photographer and curator, and is director of the International Festival of Photography in Valparaiso, FIFV. He has exhibited his work in places like the Museum of Fine Arts in Santiago and at festivals such as Perpignan, France, and Noorderlicht, the Netherlands.
