
Claudio Edinger
Graduated in Economics, Claudio Edinger almost came to blows with his father when, in 1974, announced that it would be a photographer. Moved to New York in 1976 and only returned to Brazil after 20 years. He is the author of 14 books and a photographic novel, A Swami in Rio, published in 2009. He received numerous international awards, including the Leica Award (twice), Hasselblad Award, Award Higashikawa, Ernst Haas Award, JP Morgan Prize, Pictures of The Year Award, April Prize, Special Prize of Life Magazine as a finalist for the W. Eugene Smith Award, in Brazil, has twice received the Award Porto Seguro. Your photos are in the collections of MASP, MIS, MAM, MAC, Pinacoteca, Metropolitan Museum of Curitiba, Metronòn (Barcelona), Higashikawa (Japan), AT & T Photo Collection, Equity International Photo Collection, Brazil Golden Art Fund, Itaú Cultural and Center Cultural Banco do Brazil, their work also includes the largest private collections of photography in Brazil.
