He was born in Bethlehem in 64. Photographer and researcher. Professor of Visual Arts at the University of the Amazon. Master in Communication and Semiotics at PUC / SP and PhD in Visual Arts at ECA / USP. Coordinator and independent curator on projects like "Para Contemporary Photography - Panorama 80/90", "Photography and Imaging Symposium" and the photoactive "Journal of Contemporary Photography Prize." It has works in the collections of the Museum of Photography of the City of Curitiba, State of Pará Museum - Bethlehem Collection Joaquim Paiva - RJ, MAM - SP Collection and Pirelli / MASP - SP. The picture is more intriguing result of the reflection of its author. However it imposes through concepts that are connected not only to think, but also their implementation and completion. Paths are indistinguishable, fragments, narratives, displacement mapped by photographer Mariano Para Klautau on projects like his Journal of Contemporary Photography. Professor of Visual Arts at the University of the Amazon and a Master in Communication and Semiotics at PUC São Paulo, Klautau brings his reflections on Brazilian contemporary imagery to the center of debate.

The Paraty in Focus celebrates this year the picture of Pará, and to discuss your possibilities, as well as those created by producers in other states, their poetic attitudes, different languages or as Klautau says: The presence of photography in the restless world, he will talk with visual artist and designer Roberta Carvalho Para, who has won the Art Award Hall of Para, and micro Funarte Contemporêneo Journal Award, which is Klatau general curator. Joins the two, the professor of visual arts, and also a visual artist, the Para Ricardo Macedo, who since 2004 has been dedicated to photographic media, performance and video. The artist was also selected in the second edition of the Journal Contemporary. With so many similarities, nothing better than to think the future of the photographic image and its artistic implications.
